Sandra Boynton is a beloved American cartoonist, children’s author, songwriter, and highly sporadic short film director. Boynton has written and illustrated sixty children’s books and seven general audience books, including five New York Times bestsellers. My 12-month-old daughter loves this book and it has quickly become a great way to wrap up bathtime. It is short and sweet, but she looks forward to the squeak at the end each time. We love Sandra Boynton books and this one is no exception. At first, I wished it was a little longer since it's only about 4 pages long; however, now I really appreciate how concise it is because we don't need a long story during bath time and it helps us wrap up playtime in the bath. Bonus: it is a wonderful distraction when my daughter is losing her marbles for any number of toddler reasons.
Admittedly, my daughter chews it more than reads it, but it has stopped her from crying at bath time! And she always looks at me with surprise when i squeeze the last page and it squeaks - then tries to figure out how I did it! Definitely a great bath time addition! My daughter is now 8 months but got this for her at about 6.5 months.
My daughter was afraid of the bath but loves books. I saw this and thought it would help her want to get back in. Well, it worked and she loves it. Good quality.
You can NEVER go wrong with any of Sandra Boynton books! I think I now own almost the entire collection. This is one of my twin granddaughters favorite. She LOVES the beginning where the little pig gets paint all over him and it gives an opportunity to teach the different colors because 4 different paints are used! HIGHLY recommend any of Sandra Boynton's books! She keeps the text short, uses rhymes, and keeps the child's attention by her adorable illustrated books!!!!
As soon as this arrived my 15 month opened the book and has not put it down since! He loves this book in his bath and it's great as it's a little bit bigger than most other bath books
Baby loves books so this is great to be able to play with and read in the tub!
ordered this as a gift. It has been well received and well loved. I especially like that it had more than 3 pages to it and even has a squeaker.
We love Sandra Boynton. This is a very basic bath book. I feel like there could have been more to it. It’s over too fast! Even my one-year-old seemed to be expecting more.
