This book is a great read for those interested in issues related to immigration worldwide. But it is also a delightful memoir of a young woman discovering herself through art, teaching, language, and culture.

This is a fascinating look at the issues of immigration and the experience of being a refugee. The author offers a very personal look at the human aspects of some of the migration occurring currently in Europe as well as in its past. The drawing is exceptional and a delight to wander through. While targeted to an adult audience, younger readers would be able to gain insight through the stories of the refugees themselves as well as through the historical explorations.
