American Vernacular, Buildings and Interiors is a superb book! It covers many types of domestic architecture including interiors. Historic photos dot almost every page. Text is very informative. As a retired cultural anthropologist finding such a book for research was just what I needed in my retired life. Sometimes we just can't give up our interests when we officially retire.
One of the best architectural survey books I've ever seen! Plenty of sharp photos and informative text. Not a mere coffee table book, thank goodness..
