Many high tech companies, including mine, adopted Agile techniques such as scrums. Every now and then we are sent to "re-education" as our scrums get more loosey goosey for the sake of convenience. We are again in this re-education period and picked up this book to get some additional ideas. This book is aimed at the product owner - the person who is in charge of the entire product. In general, this book covers pretty standard material. I was hoping it would have some insights that I have not been taught before, but this was not the case. It does not address how to deal with realities that sometimes interfere with idealized Agile approach, like having to work on multiple problems at the same time. Agile assumes that people are interchangeable and anyone can work on any problem, however in reality people become experts in a particular area and so when some problem happens in that area a person has to work on multiple things at once contrary to the Agile philosophy. I was hoping for some creative solutions to this issue, but this course covers the by the book idealized approach.Ali Julia review
There are a few relatively good points in this book, but, unfortunately, it is so poorly written that it is hard to follow. Unusual phrases and phrasing, combined with very awkward and inconsistent formatting (try following the numbering; at times there are five or six number ones in succession, for example), make for a difficult reading experience. At other times, the titles "product owner" and "product manager" are mixed up, despite a clear forward about how they are explicitly distinct. I think there are myriad better articles for free via a Google search.
I own an Etsy account and i haven't been able to sell anything yet. With this book, I was able to apply a strategy with the scrum methodology and all I can say is that it's less complex than your traditional product management method. All i want as a stay at home mom is to be independent at some point and I believe that this book will help me achieve this goal...it even has exercises for you so that you are sure to understand, and also for the first time, I did not need to consult another source to verify an unknown term. Overall it's well written and worth buying...

Regrettably, the eBook version I reviewed had several formatting discrepancies; I assume the author will correct these.
